Firemans Brew- Redhead Ale
A flavor packed red amber ale with smooth, rich caramel flavors.  The combination of Yakima Valley hops and 3 different crystal malts complement a solid, toasty malt base to create a unique and flavorful ale.
The Pour:

Pours a dark amber with about a finger of fluffy off-white head that faded pretty quickly. Left some slight lacing.

The smell:

Amber hops, lots of caramel malt, maybe some toffee and dry, dark fruit. Nothing too overwhelming.

The Taste:

The taste stays with the nose with lots of caramel and roasted malts and has a really nice bready, dark malt flavor. I also got some brown sugar, a touch of toffee and coffee.  It finishes dry with soft bitterness and cloying malt flavors.

The Mouthfeel:

Decent carbonation. Kind of thin and a little watery.

The Verdict:

The Redhead Ale is just your basic, straight forward red ale and it wasn’t one of the best brews that I have ever come across but, it was decent and I wouldn’t turn one down if it was handed my way. It won’t hurt you to give it a shot and even if you hate it you still helped out a good cause.
