The Boulevard Brewing Company is located in Kansas City, Missouri
A couple nights ago I ventured out to @TMacWoodstock for some wings and Pint Night with my girlfriend and a couple of our good friends. We usually just do a random pick out of the beers of the month and this was the first one we came across .
It came out in a Snifter glass as an 110z pour with an 8% ABV which is always nice and we also got these nice Boulevard Pint Glasses (hint: Pint Night.) It had a light golden color and you can’t really tell from the picture but, it started out with a nice frothy white head.
It gave off a nice light citrus, floral smell that was backed by a strong Belgian yeast. There was a lot going on with it was nice.
There was some mixed taste reviews between @Alex_B_Jones and myself. The hoppy bitterness was a little overpowering for him and although it wasn’t the best I have ever had I thought it had a pretty decent flavor. There was some big citrus and grapefruit right up front that are followed with a bitter and tangy kick. It has a crisp and tangy mouth feel that is not to heavy and not to light, just kind of right in the middle.
Overall I wasn’t to impressed and I don’t think that I would go out of my way for this one but, I certainly wouldn’t turn one down if it was offered to me.
Keep Calm and Drink On
